The Treatment Due September 15
The treatment is nothing more than a preview of the script. By September 23, share with Mr. Wolotsky one idea in which you preview a possible script for the idea you are considering. This need not be the idea that becomes your final project. Please submit this to me via Google Docs(fishwhistle08@gmail.com) and be prepared to read your treatment aloud in class.
Your treatment will contain:
a possible title
a few words about main characters or players
setting
major events
Your treatment should not be too long. 75-150 words sounds good.
Your Treatment should also include answers to the following questions:
1. Who do you think you will get to act in this film?
2. Where do you think you will film?
3. What do you think will be the most difficult scenes to film?
4. When(time of day) do you see this film getting shot?
5. Why do you think this film is doable considering the short time frame?
Grading:
This is worth 50 points total
A - Mark Burnett Productions - Your treatment perfectly sums up your idea for a short film. All questions are answered completely.
B- Flight Studios Wants You - Your treatment is a bit unclear but work on the treatment and questions shows thought and reveals a well thought idea for a film
F - Not There Yet - You do not have a treatment that says much about your idea and your answers to the questions leaves us wondering.

Main areas: bar, boat, house. Bar scene talking about capt (dan wo) not returning. Wo heading out on a boat. the weather turning. Montage of weather scenes, warnings and boat trouble.
- ..
- eliza title- Should I? characters- Julia (Erica) a young girl who hates herself and becomes bulimic as a result setting- school major events- talking to friends trying to decide with overshadowing and then the throwing up scene
-
- The Treatment: "THE FINAL CUT" The film "The Final Cut" is about a character that lost his parents at the age of five. 30 years later as an FBI agent he discovers a file under his parents death. After being confused and scared Robert Zemeckis, played by Jay Blackwell, discovers that his parents were not killed in an accident. For next eight minutes in the film, Robert tries to figure out what happened to his parents thirty years earlier. After watching this film you will learn one thing of the utmost importance. "Don't trust anyone". Rough Life A boy (dressed in tattered clothes) is shown waking up in a yard getting yelled at by the owner of the house. The boy then runs away and after a series of events is called back home by his supposed sister. However, a twist in the story reveals the boy isn’t who he appears to be.
