Welcome and Get Started 3rd Trimester People

Welcome.

There is the best class offered at BRHS. The only catch is: its way more work then you were probably bargaining for.

Here is a link to the class schedule of due dates. This calendar is also available as a gadget on this blog.
Your first assignment is to get conected with Mr. Wolotsky and Jonne Trees digitally.

Steps to complete Assignment #1 Get Connected Digitally:
1. Make a google Account
2. Share a folder(collection) in Google Docs with Mr. Wolotsky and Jonne Trees using the email addresses:
-fishwhistle08@gmail.com
-jonnetrees@gmail.com
3. Fill out the form linked here.

Assignment #2 will be your Treatment

The "Treatment" - due March 21

The treatment is nothing more than a preview of the script. By March 23rd, share with Mr. Wolotsky one idea in which you preview a possible script for the idea you are considering. This need not be the idea that becomes your final project. Please submit this to me via Google Docs(fishwhistle08@gmail.com) and be prepared to read your treatment aloud in class.

Your treatment will contain:
a possible title
a few words about main characters or players
setting
major events

Your treatment should not be too long. 75-150 words sounds good.

Your Treatment should also include answers to the following questions:
1. Who do you think you will get to act in this film?
2. Where do you think you will film?
3.  What do you think will be the most difficult scenes to film?
4. When(time of day) do you see this film getting shot?
5. Why do you think this film is doable considering the short time frame?

Grading:

This is worth 50 points total

A - Mark Burnett Productions - Your treatment perfectly sums up your idea for a short film. All questions are answered completely.

B-  Flight Studios Wants You - Your treatment is a bit unclear but work on the treatment and questions shows thought and reveals a well thought idea for a film

F - Not There Yet -  You do not have a treatment that says much about your idea and your answers to the questions leaves us wondering.
